ŻAK Imġarr

A Catholic Youth group offering spiritual, human and social support to young people.

Navitas

Navitas. Enerġija. Meta l-grupp ta’ żgħażagħ li kienu jiltaqgħu darba fil-ġimgħa fiċ-Ċentru Pastorali tas-Sgħajtar beda dejjem jikber, inħasset il-ħtieġa li dan il-grupp ikollu isem. U flimkien mar-Rettur u l-youth leaders bħala isem intgħażlet il-kelma mil-Latin, “Navitas” li tfisser enerġija. L-enerġija hija l-akbar assi li għandhom iż-żgħażagħ u meta mħaddma bi ftit kreattività u proattività jistgħu jsiru ħafna affarijiet interessanti, varjati u li fl-aħħar mill-aħħar iressquna aktar lejn Alla.U dawn l-affarijiet li jressquna lejn Alla huma l-għan aħħari ta’ dan il-grupp.
F’Navitas ma jsirux laqgħat ġenerali dwar il-Bibbja u l-ħajja ta’ Ġesù u lanqas ma jingħata talb ġdid biex wieħed jitgħallem bl-amment. Navitas ikompli jibni fuq dawn l-aspetti li aħna tgħallimna fi tfulitna fl-iskejjel u d-duttrina u jeħodna pass ’il quddiem. Permezz ta’ diskussjonijiet fi grupp u bl-użu ta’ għodod multimedjali, Navitas, fost affarijiet oħra, jgħinek tifhem aħjar talb li diġà taf bl-amment u li forsi qatt ma tajt kas partikolari tiegħu, bħall-Kredu, jgħinek tifhem aħjar il-pożizzjoni tal-Knisja rigward temi soċjali permezz ta’ għarfien dwar id-dokumenti u l-enċikliċi tal-Knisja u jagħtik ukoll l-għodod biex titgħallem titlob b’mod li jagħmel sens u bl-aktar mod komdu għalik.
Barra minn hekk, kull fejn ikun hemm iż-żgħażagħ, ma tistax titħalla barra l-parti tal-iżvilupp soċjali. Minbarra l-laqgħa ta’ matul il-ġimgħa, iż-żgħażagħ iħobbu jiddevertu wkoll u jorganizzaw bejniethom diversi attivitajiet soċjali bħal safar, jattendu għal xi kunċert, isajru xi ħlewwiet li l-flus li jaqilgħu mill-bejgħ tagħhom jingħata lill-karità jew jintużaw biex itaffu l-piż finanzjarju taċ-Ċentru stess jew sempliċement imorru jieklu jew jixorbu xi ħaġa flimkien.Jekk għandek il-ħajra li tingħaqad ma’ grupp ta’ dan it-tip, jew forsi tixtieq taqta’ l-kurżità dwar x’isir f’Navitas, ejja attendi għal-laqgħa organizzata għall-grupp tal-eta’ tieghek!

Christian Life Community, Malta – CLC

The Christian Life Community is an international movement of lay men and women, young and adult, who desire to deepen their relationship with Jesus and discover their individual calling, with a desire to be persons of service. This is done in the context of a community, and embracing the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits).
Members gather regularly in small groups to support one another in living a way of life based on Gospel values. They reflect on their lives and on the situations around them, share their experiences and pray together. They help each other to know Christ better, to find what he is asking of them in their lives, individually and as a community.
Gradually, their friendship deepens through the mutual support and compassionate understanding that comes from a common desire to give a deeper meaning to their lives. The aim is for them to grow, with time, in their capacity to love, to reach out to others who are in need, to bring justice to the environments they find themselves in, to bring true peace.
The small communities are organised into larger communities regionally and nationally, together forming the World Community. At present in Malta there are some two hundred and forty CLC members, who meet on a regular basis in about twenty different communities, each with its own character and history.

YouthReach

YouthReach

The aim of the group is to create a youth community where youths are encouraged to unlock their treasure and help each other in the search for truth while walking together through the path of growth in their natural relationships with self, others and God.

Meetings vary weekly from discussions to games and quizzes, hikes, adorations, sports and also informative sessions. From time to time the group also invites experienced speakers to intervene on specialised subjects.

Apart from weekly meetings, the group also organises social and spiritual activities such as live-ins, retreats and fundraising events.
