24/07/2017Pietre Vive
24/07/2017Pietre Vive (or Living Stones) is an international community of Ignatian youths, both lay and not, who aim to provide individuals, pilgrims, and visitors with the opportunity to rediscover Christian monuments and works of art in their original roles of hospitality, evangelisation and prayer. We set out to read art as a visual prayer and to embark on an adventure of spiritual communion with the artist’s prayer across the centuries.
Our meetings often involve communal prayer and reflection, as well as art-historical and theological formation in preparation for service, which is held once a month at St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta. Our service is not merely built on knowledge, but on gratuity and openness to the ‘unknown’ visitor, as well as to the presence of Christ amidst the noise.
Being an international community, all Pietre Vive are encouraged to visit or stay in touch with each other. This also involves attending international formation camps held throughout the year, including the summer period, in various locations, especially in Europe.
SPYS – Salesian Pastoral Youth Service
24/07/2017With the two-fold aim of person building and community building, the Salesian Pastoral Youth Service accompanies young people towards the discovery of authentic life values. Through an optimistic view of life in the light of the Gospel, it seeks to develop and implement a programme of holistic Christian formation which enables the young to grow in friendship with the Lord and peace with the self and encourages them to reach out in a ministry to others.

Y4J Amplified
24/07/2017Amplified is the teen section of Y4J (Youth for Jesus). Our Amplified meetings aim to bring about community, formation, and journey. We would like to help youths discover their identity in Christ as they walk through life with true friends by their side, as one church. We would like to see youths be truly alive. To live this life to the full with fun, enthusiasm & a little dose of crazy. We want to discuss the ugly topics and the scary truths that people don’t really bring up. Our meetings are for teens that want to change the world and be relevant, and to realise that life is not all about us, but to give worth to the one who deserves it. We’re all in this together, and that’s what family is for.
